"Extinction is the rule. Survival is the exception." — Carl Sagan

Deep Night is a slow-burn, galaxy-scale 4X strategy MMO of intrigue, trust, and betrayal. You begin with a single world among thousands of stars — almost all of them dark to you. The other civilizations out there are real players. Trade with them, ally with them, or betray them. Every choice is remembered. It's played in real time, over days and weeks: orders take hours to carry out, so you give them, and come back to the results. The galaxy keeps turning whether you're watching or not.

In the deep night, you will:

- Explore the dark — you can see a few light-years; beyond that, the universe is unknown until your probes chart it one system at a time.

- Build an empire — mine, refine, manufacture, research; turn one colony into an industrial web spanning the stars.

- Form alliances — trade goods and star charts, sign treaties, and share what you see with the civilizations you trust.

- Make war — blockade a rival, invade a world, break a pact when it serves you. Reputation is the galaxy's longest memory.

It's free, and plays right in your browser. Start anonymously in seconds, or link an email to carry your empire across devices.
